铅酸蓄电池先进板栅设计案例

 

超出板栅传统的设计,采用新工艺、新技术、新材料、新设计理念开发如下先进的板栅设计。

( 1 )平面式管状电极
日本汤浅(Yuasa )承担的先进铅酸蓄电池联合会(ALABC )项目,平面式管状电极已应用于电动汽车(EV )与混合动力电动汽车(HEV ) 以及其他循环使用的场合。其板栅是用铸造或挤压生产的,采用Pb-Ca -Sn 合金。

( 2 )薄片电极
薄片正极比普通的铸造板栅或拉网板栅的正极有更均匀的放电性能.通过这种电极表面的充/放电电流是均匀的,另外腐蚀速率也降低了。因为板栅有极高的表面积,因此比普通板栅有低得多的腐蚀电流密度(A/cm2 )。
这类电极是由美国Wirtz 公司开发的conroll 极板,板栅厚度<1 mm , 质盘很轻。这种材料在美国EastPenn 公司承担的先进铅酸蓄电池联合会( ALABC )项目中应用。

真正薄如纸的电极由美国Bolder 公司开发,称为“TMF ”技术( t hin metal film )箔式电极,具有极高比功率与优异的可充性。这种电极的板栅仅为0 .05 -0.08mm ,与活性物质层的厚度相近,卷成电极。电池正极在一端,负极在另一端,和碱锰电池类似。高倍率放电性能优异,已用于电动工具、汽车起动、混合动力等领域。

美国Exide 公司首次推出采用螺旋卷状电极的圆柱形电池,作为起动用的新型阀控密封蓄电池.活性物质用机械挤压到薄极板上,采用新的连续制造技术。
